Conditions for kulapass

Kula, a sanskrit word, often translates into "family, community or unite" join the ham- sa-family and practice as much yoga as you like day in and day out.

The kulapass gives you unlimited access to yoga practice on a monthly basis. The member- ship can start on any day of the month and do not have a minimum duration (except for one months pre payment). This means that you could in theory cancel the membership the same day you purchase it. In that case the membership will last 2 months, both of which you pay for when you start the membership.

The pass is active from the day you buy it, not from the day you have your first booking!

On the day of signing up you pay for: 1 month of practice and a 1 months pre payment. From then on you pay each month the price of 1 months practice on the day of the month that matches the day you signed up. The money is automatically collected using your credit card. The automatic payments will continue until you cancel your membership.

For instance, if you sign up on Jan 15th, you will pay for 1 month of practice and 1 months pre payment right away. On Feb 15th we will collect an automatic payment using you cred- it card. On mar 15th we will collect another payment and so on.

The pre payment covers the event where we can not complete the automatic payment, if for instance your credit card has been closed. If that happens we will send you an email with instructions on how to go to our website and specify a new credit card. If you do not specify a new credit card your pre payment will cover the following month of practice after which your membership will expire.

We will send you an email with a confirmation/receipt when you start the membership and each month we will send you an email with a receipt when the automatic payment has completed.

obs!

If you book a class with your kulapass but do not show up for the class, or if you forget to check in, we will collect a fee of dkk 25,-. the fee will be collected with your next automatic monthly payment.
It is not possible to put your kulapass on hold, this goes for sick periods as well.

You can cancel the kulapass from your profile page at any time. This will stop the automat- ic payments immediately. You can then continue your practice for the remainder of the month and 1 month more, covered by your pre payment.

For instance, if your last automatic payment happened on june 15th and you cancel the membership on june 20th, your automatic payments will stop right away but you’ll still have access to unlimited practice until aug 14th.

Anyone can sign up for a hamsa kulapass using one of the credit cards that our payment provider accepts (most major credit cards). If you switch to a new bank or if your credit card should get closed or stolen, please remember to update your credit card using your profile page. In that case you will have to make one manual payment with the new credit card. After that the automatic payments will continue with the new credit card.

Hamsa Yoga Studio is vibrant with energy, full of laughter and has an alluring modern nordic interior. The studio is located next to the lakes in Nørrebro and was founded by soham & trine in 2004. Since then, things have changed, and soham is now the sole owner and director of the company.

Over the years, the studio has constantly danced around the core principles of yoga to the people, and a positive vision of the body, mind, heart, the city we live in and the world around us. The school grows from the soils of a heart oriented philosophy, that has its roots in the tantric tradition. At Hamsa Yoga Studio Copenhagen things come together: old and new, myths and science, "the bourgeoisie and the rebel"

The last few years the lord of yogis, named Shiva, has been the guardian angle of the studio. His murti (form) has had residence there in a very special form called the ananda tandava, the dance of ecstacy.

The murti (figure) of Shiva, The Nataraja, The lord of Dance is a form very dear to Hamsa. Mostly so where he dances the ananda tandava, dance of bliss. This form or figure was made for the first time at the Chidambaram Temple in South India.  If you love Nataraja, this is the center of the universe. If you love Nataraja, you have come to see him and to be seen by him. The word for this is darshan, which can be explained as “the exchange of glances.” By entering, you have offered yourself to the temple, and then the temple offers itself back. As you inhabit the temple, the temple takes up residence within you.

HAMSA YOGA STUDIO
AARHUS

A vision of a yoga studio in Aarhus arose after a session with two vedic astrologists. The autumn of 2012 was spend on scouting out a place, and when we stepped in to Mejlgade 50bb it was love at first sight.

In the beginning of December on a journey to India, a wonderful murti, embodiment of the divine, in the form of Shivas sacred bull Nandi, revealed its self to Soham. With great complications, this 38 kilo heavy, white, marble statue found its way to the studio in Aarhus, and around noon on the 10th of december 2012, its was installed as the protector and symbol of the location.
