yoga background

soham took to yoga at a very early age. in his teens he would try out advanced poses from a book in his room and even had to call his mother for help gettin out of an asana. later in the mid 90 he would visit many different traditions and do lots of yoga with everyone everywhere, and his style of teaching draws from all of these waters. his classes are a wonderful balance between teory and poetry

soham has been teaching since 99 and besides yoga he is a student of ancient greek and latin, comparativ grammatics, human biology as well as near eastern archaeology

yoga to me is

a playfull and poetic approach to this world and life around me. when i do yoga i rediscover the joy in fresh cucumbers, the sky over copenhagen or the sounds of the footfall of my dog coming in at night making sure all is ok....

yoga to me is

to me yoga is a way of living. it is a constant exercise in mindfulness and enjoyment. it is a way of finding peace and staying authentic in a crazy world. teaching yoga is a way to touch and connect with other people in the deepest sense I know. it is the most meaningful work I can think of.

jack attended and finished the 500-hour teacher training starting in 2006 at the
iyengar yoga Institute of San Francisco and continues to study with senior
instructors in the tradition worldwide.
he came to yoga in 1997 for body repairs after working in kitchens for almost two
decades. through training and practice not only has he remained happily upright
continuing enthusiastically as a culinary professional but is a dedicated student of
iyengar yoga.

yoga to me is

yoga is a lot like cooking. it captivates me by linking science with art in devotion,
tending both to the body and soul with love. It challenges me. it nurtures me. It
shows me ʻnowʼ and encourages my presence. i love how postures benefit my
body and that lessons learned in my practice on the mat effect other areas of my
life often in little ways, and sometimes in big wacky wonderful ways!

yoga to me is

yoga to me is what disco is to the art of dancing; through yoga we co-participate in expressing a divine joy through the body and mind

marie’s teaching is a blend of three elements: the Anusara alignment and heart opening principles, feminine principles that create space, flow and intimacy and poetic themes from Tantric yoga philosophy. when she teaches one of the most important aspects is empathy. this allows the students to step into the opening that is created and explore themselves as pulsating awareness and the essence of all creative energy.
she began teaching in 2002 and is in the final stages of her Anusara certification. she lived, studied and taught in the US 1997 – 2010. she thanks all her teachers with abundant gratitude, especially John Friend, Douglas Brooks and Ariel Daunay.

yoga to me is

the place where science and art meet in a wonderful creative dance. yoga is the possibility to step in to the midline where the heart sits and tap into an inexhaustible potential. here we are invited to play and savor life as an experience of our deepest creative expression – the interweaving of feminine and masculine energy.

yoga background

Nici has been to yoga classes since the year 2000.
She has made her way through many different styles
but knew that she had found her favorite when she
first walked into an Anusara class. It was then when
she decided to become a yoga teacher herself because
she felt the urge to share her enthusiasm for this
sweet life affirming style with other people.
Nici just moved to Copenhagen from Munich.

yoga to me is

A way of becoming better at being myself.
