Flowet, varmen, sveden og intensiteten er alt sammen med til at gøre vinyasa stærkt vanedannende. En udfordring ved vinyasa er dog, at flowet gør det svært at lære vinyasateknikkerne ordentligt til trods for, at man laver dem igen og igen. Man kan hurtigt komme til at lave 20-30 solhilsner på en vinyasaklasse og så er det en rigtig god idé at kunne lave skidegode solhilsner - dels for at undgå skader og dels for at få størst mulig effekt ud af sine anstrengelser.

I denne workshop går vi i dybden og du kan stille alle dine spørgsmål. Workshoppen vil være meget praktisk orienteret, og deltagerne kommer til at arbejde forholdsvis hårdt, mens de bliver fyldt med information og forklaring. Begyndere i forholdsvis god form vil sagtens kunne deltage i workshoppen, men selv øvede vinyasafolk, vil kunne lære en masse. Både lørdag og søndag er samme niveau.

- Lørdag laver Simon en grundig teknisk gennemgang af de stillinger og overgange, som vi finder i solhilsenen. Solhilsenen er let at huske, men er faktisk kompliceret, når man både koncentrerer sig om allignment, vejrtrækning, stræk, styrke og på at gøre det hele lækkert og udtryksfuldt.

- Søndag fortsætter vi og går i dybden med de mest brugte typer at stående stillinger og på forskellige typer vinyasa-overgange. Derudover vil vi udfordre tyngdekraften lege med, hvordan man hopper frem i solhilsenen. Lørdagens workshop er udgangspunktet for denne workshop.

Hamsa is proud to present Cyndi Lee for the first time ever in Denmark. We have been great fans of her books, her style of yoga and its refreshing mix of yoga and buddhism.

Vinyasa is a continuous process of arising, abiding and dissolving. In this classic OM yoga class we will continually discover dots of awareness in the sensation of feet on mat, the breeze of swinging arms, the sound of breath, the heat of our bodies and the sweat on our skin.

Paying equal and close attention to asanas and transitions, this dynamic, andante-paced creative class-length asana sequence allows our practice to truly become a vibrant, grounded gateway to a more awakened life.

YOGA BODY BUDDHA MIND

 

Hamsa is proud to present this signature workshop by Cyndi and David. 

Explore how the mutual support of hatha yoga and Buddhist meditation help us bring our bodies and minds into balance. Each session will begin with mindfulness meditation instruction and practice, followed by asana practice in which the spaciousness as well as the challenges of yoga provide an ideal opportunity to apply the Buddhist meditation techniques of watching our mind, recognizing our habits and opening our hearts. Our investigation will look at how we can begin to integrate these practices, letting them inform each other as well as the rest of our daily lives.


Friday night
: 

Making Friends with Yourself
Introducing mindfulness meditation, and exploring how it can be 
incorporated into slow, flowing asana sequences as a method for developing 
strength, stability and clarity of mind and body.
Saturday morning: Dynamic Equilibrium

Finding balance in how we work with our own mind as a basis for 
being "not too tight, not too loose" within our changing lives. Standing poses will provide the vehicle for riding balance with our body.
Saturday afternoon: Obstacle as Path
Enriching our practice by learning that the difficulties we discover 
are really the juice for going deeper -- even in hip opening!
Sunday morning: Opening Your Heart

A guided meditation and heart opening/back bending yoga class to help us develop 
loving kindness and compassion for ourself and others.

In yoga asana, the arms and legs are the workhorses of the body which, when properly engaged, allow for both support and fluidity of the spine and internal organs. This class will explore the rotation, lift, release and powerful force of the feet, legs, pelvis and belly through standing, balancing, seated and inverted poses as well as dynamic movement sequences.

This spring hamsa will host an Anusara Immersion III with the Queen of Asanas, Desiree Rumbaugh - and we cant wait!!!

Anusara yoga is one of the fastest growing yoga styles in the world, and we are happy to join the rollercoaster ride. Hamsa yoga studio will be the main studio and place to meet, explore and enjoy this style of yoga and we will do all we can to make it blossom.

Here is a small general desciption of what an immersion is all about:

“The Anusara Yoga Immersion is an in-depth journey for the student who wishes to deepen their understanding of Anusara Yoga. It will provide a solid base for all types of yoga studies. It is also for the aspiring teacher of Anusara Yoga. The Anusara Yoga Immersion program is a 100-hour training designed to meet the prerequisites of Anusara Yoga certification. It is divided into three sections of 33 hours each. In this comprehensive training, students will study every aspect of Anusara Yoga in detail. This includes: all asanas from the level 1 and level 2 syllabi, yoga philosophy, all components of the biomechanics and the opportunity to be with great company and the circle of friendship.
Prerequisites; Before entering a Level 3 Immersion, Anusara Yoga students should take at least 30 hours or 3 months of public classes in order to have a proper introduction to the style as well as join immersion 1 & 2 ( but write soham@hamsayoga.dk an email if in doubt. ”
